One of the best headphone amplifiers, specially tailored for Hifiman Susvara. It has an amazing tonality, sounds lush, alive and very engaging, hits hard and fully preserves dynamics. Has a lot of power to spare and it was specifically designed with Susvara in mind. It sounds smaller than Flux Labs Volot, but it improves dynamics and transient response. If you don’t like experimenting with speaker amplifiers, this is good as it gets. I’m beyond impressed by this pairing. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. This thing hits like Mjolnir’s hammer, it goes fast and it carries a natural tonality. I like everything about this integrated, with the exception of its resolution/transparency that were good, but not outstanding. This could easily be The Amp for the Susvara. I couldn’t stop smiling listening to music through it, this is fun factor incarnate.

The use of “Stealth Magnets” on the SUSVARA means the sound wave reproduction can take place without the necessary magnets getting in their own way, ruining the sonic purity of their outputThe shorter cups also seem to gel better with the suede strap pressure distribution. Not only do I get the better V2 style clamping but I also get less movement on the top and rear of my ears with the wider space. Although I will be measuring them soon and I’ll compare them with top-tier headphones, there isn’t such a measurement that can show you dynamics, their impact and bass slam, such reading doesn’t exist, but our complicated minds can feel that in a microsecond or two. This flawed masterpiece can awake much nicer dynamics with Susvara, but only if a source with a 5.5V output is being used. Works best with its matching M400 DAC that offers a hefty voltage or with any other DAC that could go higher than 5V via XLR. This is probably the cheapest amplifier that could drive the Susvara well enough.

Beautiful drivers showing through the grill, they're incredibly thin, it's almost like they're not there, you can really feel air moving through them if you blow a fan towards your head. Outside sounds pass right through, these cans are as open and airy as it gets.

SUSVARA: Your End-Game Planar Magnetic Headphone

Having championed the HE1000 V2, albeit, with a few personal preference reservations, I have to say the Susvara utterly nails what I want in a TOTL headphone. Thankfully, it is also one of the occasions where technical excellence meets personal preference. A convergence of pleasure and respect if you will. What Is The Pitch? Now we’re talking. Dynamics improved, power delivery and control improved. It’s no longer veiled and muddy sounding. Still, sub-bass is nowhere to be spotted and dynamics aren’t as visceral and impactful. If you aren’t into modern music, this could work as a temporary solution.
