About this deal

With Kelly’s hair, I just made sure to get her iconic, side part with hair swooping to the side! Either way, with both wigs, I began with curls and ended with semi-straight hair to pull off each character’s aesthetic! 🙂

Beauty school coiffure: Mangy ’60s pixie, a cross between Mrs. Brady and Shaggy on Scooby Dooby Do.

The weights of fashion and inherited culture are, of course, quite different; likewise the burdens of dictatorship versus those of democratic society, or the force of pride amid poverty versus a prideful ennui. In a photograph taken at the Musée de la Chasse (Hunting) et de la Nature, in Paris, a woman named Arielle Dombasle is pictured leaning against a grand fireplace beneath a gilded portrait of a perhaps eighteenth-century man, in a wig, displaying his rifle and animal kill, and a stuffed leopard growls over a leopard-print cloth beneath her. Though Régnier has written that Arielle wears leopard as a symbol of “absolute femininity,” this is also a portrait of dominion—of empire and its spoils. Blouse: Start off your outfit with a leopard print off-shoulder blouse, one of Peggy's signature pieces. This will give you that bold and sassy look that Peggy is known for.

As developed and played by the series’s star, Fran Drescher, the “nanny named Fran,” as the theme song trills, is ebullient, brave and soothing. Firmly in line with the warmth and intelligence of her fellow sitcom-anchoring stars Brett Butler and Reba McEntire, Drescher embodies an unforgettable heroine. In some ways an inheritor of Maria von Trapp’s work-to-marriage plotline from “The Sound of Music,” Fran is a “fish out of water” figure who is so winsome that the stuffy widower father (Charles Shaughnessy) begins to fall for her, although Fran is freer to assert herself with humor and sass than Julie Andrews’s Maria was. Fran manages to be uncompromising in what matters to her while never losing the audience’s empathy. Step 4. Place a drop of the last polish on the tin foil, here I used a dark slate grey. Dip the small side of your dotting tool (you’ll probably want to have wiped off the other color). This will be the outlines of the leopard dots.

Married ... With Children

Beauty school coiffure: In a word — unwashed. Pitt must have gone weeks without shampoo to achieve this greasy ‘do. And yet, what leopard conveys in Western fashion is highly mutable — especially when it comes to signifying class. Clothing ads in the 1930s promoted velvetine and chenille as affordable alternatives to leopard fur. Around this time, Lanvin made silk and rayon crepe dresses emblazoned with leopard patterns. But leopard print really hit the mainstream in 1947, when Christian Dior included it in his debut “New Look” collection. Dior used leopard not as a fur or a faux fur, but as a print. Fashion critic Alexander Fury at T Magazine called leopard print a “house leitmotif” at Dior, noting that the designer’s muse Mitzah Bricard often wore the pattern.

The DIY portion of Peggy’s costume Is turning your white tee into an off-the-shoulder leopard print shirt PLEASE do this next part in a well ventilated area and follow all instructions for safety on your bleach bottle! 🙂
