About this deal

I didn't care about the romance or the mystery. I cared about Grace and Amelia's friendship, and Sky, and that was about it. While there were some interesting things said and I liked the focus on how trauma affects everyone in a person's life, overall it was extremely disappointing. We like to think if we do everything right and don’t make dumb choices we will be safe, but the reality is that anyone could be thinking about hurting you at any time and you may never know it.” (Pg. 49) Four sisters gave birth within four months of each other, now they're celebrating their babies first holiday season

Katelyn: I was born and raised in the small town of Palestine, Texas where the internet is slow, the people are neighborly, and there are lots and lots of trees. Reading and writing have always been great passions of mine. Books were everything from an escape from reality to a dose of reality. I loved the written word and had no problem reading, but I never tested well on my English tests in grade school. My grades got so bad, I was put in remedial reading classes with English Language Learners. What I wished my teachers had understood was that I simply didn’t understand how they wanted me to answer the questions. For example, they always asked me what the author’s purpose was: to entertain, to persuade, or to inform. I always felt that if an author can’t do all three then they weren’t a very good writer. It was much later in life that I found out that I am on the autistic spectrum (specifically SPCD), and I just think a little differently. Amelia had such a wonderful relationship with her parents and brothers and friends. Her friend group was honestly one of the most supportive friend groups I’ve read about. They had their arguments and disagreements, but after they cooled off they took the time to talk about what went wrong, apologized (gasp!), and discuss what they could do better the next time.

Among sampled patients, COVID-NET collects data on the primary reason for admission to differentiate hospitalizations of patients with laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection who are likely admitted primarily for COVID-19 illness rather than for other reasons. During chart review, if the surveillance officer finds that the chief complaint or history of present illness mentions fever or respiratory illness, COVID-19–like illness, or suspected COVID-19, then the case is categorized with COVID-19–related illness as the primary reason for admission. Reasons for admission that are likely primarily not related to COVID-19 include the following categories: inpatient surgery or procedures, psychiatric admission requiring acute medical care, trauma, other, or unknown. Reasons categorized as “other” are reviewed by two physicians to determine whether the admission is likely COVID-19–related. She told investigators that she drank alcohol and smoked pot before falling asleep on the couch with her infant son.the main character is part of the LGBTQ+ community (bisexuality & lesbianism); while I liked the representation, parents should know what is in this book for their own children. ICU admission and need for mechanical ventilation are not mutually exclusive categories, and patients could have received both. FILLMORE — Fillmore Central School announces Mitchell Ward is Valedictorian for the Class of 2023 while Katelyn Pastorius is Salutatorian. She began reading around the subject and the things she didn’t know began to multiply. “I realised I knew nothing about chattel slavery in America: how plantations worked, or the slave pens, or the fact that one of the reasons that so many enslaved people were brought to New Orleans was because of the agriculture in the upper south failing – tobacco and rice weren’t turning the kind of profits that sugar and cotton were, and so they began selling masses and masses of people. I didn’t know any of that. It’s ridiculous. One of the biggest things I didn’t know was that there was a healthy history of resistance on the part of enslaved people.” This was not, Ward recognised, a mere question of oversight. “That I had grown up in this place and knew none of that seemed so purposeful, and so terrible. That these people, very real people who had suffered in terrible ways, that their lives and that reality had been erased from the landscape? That really bothered me.” When you choose to sleep with your child, there is a danger that a tragedy could happen,” Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico told news station WHTM.
